Black Static Interview Talie Helene & Liz Grzyb

The excellent Peter Tennant has published an interview with Liz Grzyb and Talie Helene up at Black Static Magazine online, the website for one of the premiere horror magazines published by TTA Press in the UK.

If you would like to learn more about our award winning anthology ‘The Year’s Best Australian Fantasy & Horror’ (Ticonderoga Publications) this interview is a great place to start. I hope you enjoy the intie.

Thrilled to have helped raise $1900 for Pet’s Haven – Thanks, Cabaret Nocturne!

Cabaret Nocturne have announced the results of the Fundraiser Club Event last Friday at Roxanne Parlour – with an amazing $1900 raised for Pet’s Haven.

The two hardcover copies of ‘The Year’s Best Australian Fantasy & Horror 2012’ went to good homes – thanks to Ticonderoga Publications for making that donation possible.

I will certainly be in contact with Tom (Cabaret Nocturne Event Manager) & Susan (Dj Severina & Sponsorship Manager) about doing promotional giveaways for future editions of the anthology, as I like to do something giving back to the community each year. I think our authors rather like being associated with this kind of fundraising event – it’s very in-line with the kind and sympathetic natures of horror and fantasy authors. The punters at Cabaret Nocturne are a great fit as readers for our books.

So far Year’s Best editions have been prizes or up for auction for theAustralian American Association, Victoria/Australian Horror Writers Association Halloween Fundraiser Dinner Dance (benefiting Youngcare), the MYER Eastland Community Fund (benefiting Kewn Kreestha Women’s Respite Facility in Croydon, Victoria), and The 6th Annual Red Ribbon Show at the Southside Speakeasy in Salem, Oregon (benefiting Our House HIV+ Accommodation & Services of Portland, USA) which is an event managed by the very impressive Jonathan Reitan.

If you missed the fundraiser last Friday, you can still donate to the Pet’s Haven vet clinic fund online.
